This radiant red roadster represents the most powerful and refined version of the celebrated R107 chassis, which was offered exclusively in the North American market from 1986 to 1989.
Under the hood, the 560SL features a 5.5-liter V8 engine factory-rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential. The driving experience combines power, poise, and German precision through power steering, fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior serves as a time capsule of 1980s luxury and innovation, featuring automatic climate control, cruise control, electric windows, central locking, and even a period Carphone. The cabin is dominated by a factory Becker stereo and classic VDO instrumentation, including a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel framing a 170-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level.
