Acclaimed Writer Xuemo Launches Latin American Tour Exploring Human Wisdom in AI Era

Acclaimed Chinese writer Xuemo has embarked on a comprehensive Latin American lecture tour focusing on the relationship between human wisdom and artificial intelligence development. The tour, which spans multiple countries and academic institutions, comes at a pivotal moment when global societies are grappling with AI's transformative impact on human existence.

Xuemo's journey began with an invitation from Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) in Peru, where he delivered a keynote address titled "Wisdom and Transcendence in the Age of AI." The event, held at the Auditorio Luis Bedoya, marked the first anniversary of the Peruvian Chinese Language Institute and was attended by distinguished academic leaders including USIL President Dr. Jorge Talavera and Dean of Humanities Dr. Justo Balmaceda.

The tour's significance lies in its timing and thematic focus. As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes human life and work patterns, Xuemo's lectures explore the essential human qualities that must accompany technological advancement. The 2025 New York City Big Book Award recipient brings his literary perspective to this critical discussion, drawing from works translated into more than 30 languages that examine consciousness, compassion, and humanity's search for meaning.

Following his Peruvian engagement, Xuemo traveled to Argentina's Universidad Nacional de José C. Paz (UNPAZ) for a lecture titled "Wisdom Beyond the Age of AI." Hosted by UNPAZ President Dr. Darío Kusinsky and featuring interpretation by Professor Xintang Sun, the session was part of the university's "International Week of Science, Art, and Knowledge Production" and was livestreamed on the institution's official platform.

The writer's return to USIL on November 13 featured the presentation of his new Spanish-language book "The World Is a Reflection of the Mind," published by the Latin American Publishing Group. This publication adds to his growing body of work available at http://www.xuemobooks.com.

Xuemo's Chilean itinerary includes multiple significant appearances: a November 18 lecture at the University of Magallanes, participation in the Santiago International Book Fair on November 22, and a literary dialogue at GAM Bookstore in Santiago on November 24. The tour culminates with a November 28 lecture at El Colegio de México and participation in the Guadalajara International Book Fair from December 4-5.

Recent appearances, including on France's MANDARIN TV program "Dialogue in Paris," have highlighted Xuemo's perspective on modern challenges. He emphasized that "in an age of turmoil, anxiety, and uncertainty, each of us must illuminate our own heart with love and wisdom." His message underscores the tour's central theme: that technological progress must be balanced with spiritual and ethical development.

The Latin American lecture series represents a significant cross-cultural exchange at a time when global conversations about AI's societal impact are increasingly urgent. By bringing Eastern philosophical perspectives to Western academic institutions, Xuemo's tour contributes to the essential dialogue about maintaining human values in an increasingly automated world.
