Air Force Veteran Opens D1 Training Facility in St. Augustine
A new D1 Training facility opening in St. Augustine brings sports-science backed athletic training programs to the community, offering specialized fitness regimens for all age groups under the leadership of Air Force veteran Chris Sieburg.
The St. Augustine community will gain access to professional-grade athletic training with the opening of a new D1 Training facility at 35 Summerlin Lane on October 13. The fitness enrichment concept, which utilizes five core tenets of athletic-based training, represents a significant addition to the local fitness landscape under the leadership of Air Force veteran Chris Sieburg.
Sieburg, who has called St. Augustine home for more than 20 years, brings both military discipline and business acumen to his new role as franchise owner. After retiring early from his position as Executive Vice President of Operations for a distribution company, he sought to combine his passion for entrepreneurship with fitness. His discovery of D1 Training provided the perfect opportunity to create what he describes as a valuable resource for the community.
So much growth can happen when we take on challenges, but having a supportive and motivating environment makes those challenges easier to face, said Sieburg. The D1 St. Augustine team is here to be that support system and help athletes grow through every challenge and stage of their sports and fitness journeys.
The facility employs a sports-science backed training regimen led by certified trainers, offering programs for four distinct age groups: Rookie for ages 7-11, Developmental for ages 12-14, Prep for ages 15-18, and D1 Adult. Each program follows the same five athletic-based tenets: dynamic warm-up, performance, strength program, core and conditioning, and cool down. Beyond group workouts, the facility provides group, semi-private, and one-on-one training with world-class coaches.
Sieburg joins an impressive roster of existing D1 franchisees that includes former professional and collegiate athletes. The brand's notable partners include NBA star Chris Paul and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, lending credibility to the training methodology. According to the brand's Chief Operating Officer Dan Murphy, Chris is the ideal candidate to bring the D1 Training experience to St. Augustine.
