American Heart Association Selects Eight Startups for Heart and Brain Health Accelerator
Eight innovative health tech companies have been chosen to participate in the 2026 Heart and Brain Health Accelerator, a collaboration between the American Heart Association and MedTech Innovator, aiming to advance cardiovascular and neurological care through novel technologies.

The American Heart Association has selected eight startups to join its 2026 Heart and Brain Health Accelerator, a specialty track within the MedTech Innovator (MTI) Accelerator. The program aims to advance novel medical and digital health technologies aligned with the Association's mission to improve cardiovascular and brain health.
Selected from a highly competitive global pool, the cohort includes companies developing solutions ranging from non-invasive neuromodulation for dementia to AI-guided catheter ablation guidance. The startups are: Cerevia Neurosciences, Chambertech, Envera Medical, Eupnoos, Flux Robotics, Lucentia, OMINI, and Prima Medical.
“Novel approaches to tackling today’s most pressing challenges are what will drive us forward in addressing the age-old challenges of improving heart and brain health,” said Lisa Suennen, managing partner of American Heart Association Ventures. “Through the Heart and Brain Health Accelerator, we are connecting high-potential companies with the expertise, resources and networks needed to bring more trustworthy, rapid and impactful product and service advancements to patients and the clinicians who care for them.”
The accelerator is a collaboration between American Heart Association Ventures and Studio Red, the Association's venture studio, and MTI. Participants will receive specialized mentorship, coaching, and capacity building from American Heart Association Ventures, customized to their focus on cardiovascular and/or brain conditions. They also become official members of the MedTech Innovator program, gaining access to networking opportunities, funding, and increased industry visibility.
These companies qualify to participate in the MedTech Innovator Competition Finals, held at the MedTech Conference on October 18-21, 2026, in Boston. They are also included in the inaugural MTI Index, a new recognition platform highlighting promising medtech companies.
The cohort was selected by an American Heart Association advisory committee of clinical, investment, and industry experts, who evaluated applicants based on innovation, clinical impact, and potential to improve patient care. The selected technologies address critical gaps in cardiovascular and neurological health, including early detection of heart disease, minimally invasive treatments for atrial fibrillation, and non-invasive monitoring of heart failure.
The American Heart Association's involvement underscores its commitment to driving innovation in heart and brain health. Through American Heart Association Ventures, the organization invests in companies translating evidence-based science into commercially viable products. The Heart and Brain Health Accelerator is a key initiative to identify and support early-stage startups with high potential to improve patient outcomes and expand access to care.
