Ann's Choice Community Honors Veterans with Hometown Heroes Banner Display
Ann's Choice senior living community in Pennsylvania is displaying 82 banners honoring resident and staff veterans throughout November as part of its Veterans Day celebration, demonstrating how senior communities can meaningfully recognize military service.

The Ann's Choice senior living community in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is displaying 82 "Hometown Heroes" banners across its campus throughout November to honor residents and team members who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The initiative recognizes the dedication, sacrifice, and service of military veterans living and working within the Erickson Senior Living-managed community during Veterans Day celebrations.
This special tribute was organized by the community's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging committee and funded through a DEIB grant from National Senior Communities. Each banner features the veteran's name, photograph, and branch of service, creating a visual display that honors individual military contributions. "This project is a heartfelt way to honor the men and women among us who answered the call to service," said Executive Director Chris Donati. "Seeing the faces of our resident and staff veterans displayed across campus is a daily reminder of their courage and commitment."
The banner program represents an ongoing commitment to veteran recognition at Ann's Choice. The community plans to rehang the banners each November as part of its annual Veterans Day observances. As new residents and team members with military backgrounds join the community, additional banners will be created to ensure comprehensive recognition of all veterans. This approach ensures the tribute remains current and inclusive as the community evolves.
Ann's Choice is managed by Erickson Senior Living and supported by National Senior Communities, which serves as one of the largest systems of not-for-profit continuing care retirement communities in the United States. The Hometown Heroes banner program demonstrates how senior living communities can create meaningful traditions that honor military service while fostering intergenerational appreciation for veterans' contributions. By making veteran recognition a visible, recurring part of community life, Ann's Choice sets an example for how organizations can maintain ongoing appreciation for military service beyond annual holiday observances.
