Asepha Secures $4M in Seed Funding to Revolutionize Pharmacy Operations with AI

Asepha, a startup specializing in AI-driven pharmacy automation, has successfully closed a $4 million Seed funding round. The investment was led by Glasswing Ventures and Core Innovation Capital, with participation from Panache, RedBud, MGV, and follow-on support from Ripple Ventures and Front Row Ventures. This funding underscores the growing recognition of AI's potential to transform pharmacy operations by addressing critical bottlenecks.

The company, founded in 2023 by Eunice Wu and Can Uncu, leverages agentic AI to streamline pharmacy workflows, improve accuracy, and reduce the time pharmacists spend on administrative tasks. Asepha's innovative tools include an OCR prescription entry agent with 96% accuracy in processing handwritten prescriptions and a call agent that automates up to 70% of inbound calls. These solutions are already making a difference, with pharmacists preferring Asepha's AI responses over human responses 71% of the time in trials.

With the new funding, Asepha plans to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams, grow its partnerships, and establish a presence in New York City. The startup has already attracted Fortune 50 enterprise customers, highlighting its early impact in the pharmacy sector. Eunice Wu, CEO and Co-Founder, emphasized the importance of freeing pharmacists from manual tasks to focus on patient care, while Can Uncu, CTO and Co-Founder, highlighted the role of AI in restructuring industry workflows responsibly.

Investors like Rudina Seseri of Glasswing Ventures and Edwin Loredo of Core Innovation Capital praised Asepha's focused approach and its alignment with macro trends in pharmacy labor. The company's agentic API, designed for seamless integration into existing workflows, positions it as a leader in the responsible deployment of pharmaceutical AI.
