The Atlanta Community Food Bank has announced the appointment of new members to its 2025 Board of Directors and Advisory Board, marking a significant step in its ongoing mission to combat hunger in the Southeast. The organization, which serves 29 counties across metro Atlanta and North Georgia, emphasizes the critical role of board leadership in guiding its operations and ensuring the delivery of vital programs and services to food-insecure individuals and families.

Kyle Waide, President & CEO of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, expressed gratitude for the new board members' commitment, highlighting their diverse expertise and shared dedication to addressing hunger in the community. Althea Broughton, from Arnall Golden Gregory's Real Estate Practice Group, will serve as the Chair of the Board of Directors, stepping up from her previous role as Vice Chair. The new board members, including Sarah Brown of The John and Rosemary Brown Family Foundation and Stewart Gantt of Manhattan Associates, among others, are set to serve up to two three-year terms.

On the Advisory Board, Amir Ghoddousi of ASK Logistics Group takes the helm as Chair, with new members such as Brittanie Browning of Akerman LLP and Somia Farid Silber of Edible Brands joining the ranks. These appointments underscore the Food Bank's commitment to leveraging a wide range of skills and perspectives to tackle food insecurity effectively.
