(BVB: BENTO) today announced a healthcare-focused configuration of its Bento MDM platform, designed to address the unique device management challenges faced by healthcare organizations. The announcement comes as healthcare providers increasingly rely on a mix of devices—staff smartphones, shared tablets for scheduling and patient check-in, and patient-facing displays—each carrying different security and compliance requirements.
Bento MDM enables clinics, hospitals, and laboratories to manage, secure, and monitor these devices from a single centralized console. Key capabilities relevant to healthcare include Kiosk Mode, which locks a device to approved applications; Compliance Templates; application and access control; and Location Tracking with remote lock or wipe for lost or stolen devices. These functions support organizations' obligations to protect sensitive data in compliance with GDPR and HIPAA regulations.
The platform is available both as a cloud (SaaS) and on-premises deployment, giving healthcare organizations the flexibility to choose a deployment model that best suits their data-residency and security requirements.
