Benzinga and Stakeholder Labs Launch Marketopolis to Connect CEOs with Retail Investors

Benzinga, a leading financial media and data company, and Stakeholder Labs, a startup focused on helping public companies activate retail investors, have partnered to launch Marketopolis, a new video podcast series. The collaboration aims to provide everyday investors with direct access to how CEOs approach modern markets, retail investors, and digital communication. Jody Rones, Chief Revenue Officer of Benzinga, stated that retail investors seek unfiltered insight and are highly engaged within their communities, making this content essential for connecting company leaders directly with individual investors.

Powered by SoFi, Marketopolis reflects the convergence of corporate storytelling and financial market engagement. The series is designed to bridge the gap between C-suite leadership and retail investors, emphasizing themes like transparency, long-term value creation, and the influence of retail investors. Matt Joanou, CEO and Co-Founder of Stakeholder Labs, highlighted that the show goes beyond traditional interviews, offering conversations that reveal how senior leadership views shareholders, capital markets, and growth, effectively giving retail investors a seat at the institutional table.

The first four episodes, presented in partnership with SoFi, feature CEOs from Grindr ($GRND), Lovesac ($LOVE), The Arena Group ($AREN), and Bark ($BARK). Episodes premiere weekly beginning October 8, 2025, and are available across platforms including X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Benzinga.com, and podcast services. Marketopolis delves into CEOs' personal relationships with money and investing, including how they track their own stock, and explores the philosophies shaping their leadership journeys.

Matt Joanou, who also hosts the show, emphasized that Marketopolis is about more than financial metrics; it focuses on the people, strategies, and stories behind companies. The partnership with Benzinga ensures these conversations reach a broad audience of investors seeking authentic, actionable insights. The series addresses an unmet need for retail investors who desire direct access to decision-makers and provides executives and investor relations teams with innovative approaches to financial communications.

Benzinga's distribution network will extend the show's reach to millions of investors globally, combining trusted financial coverage with authentic leadership perspectives. Jody Rones noted that retail investors increasingly value the story, strategy, and values behind companies, and Marketopolis brings these elements to life by offering rare insights into the human and strategic aspects of corporate leadership.
