Best Friends Fur Ever and SARC Surpass Fundraising Goal for Survivor Pet Housing

Best Friends Fur Ever (BFFE) has partnered with the Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center (SARC) to exceed a fundraising goal aimed at supporting survivors of domestic violence and their pets. The event, held on June 14th, not only surpassed the $7,000 target but also highlighted the community's commitment to removing barriers for survivors seeking safety with their animals.

Luisa Caiazzo, President and CEO of SARC, emphasized the fundraiser's significance beyond financial contributions, stating it's about compassion and safety. The event featured a family-friendly parade and activities in Havre de Grace, drawing attention to SARC's mission and the importance of keeping families and their pets together during crises.

BFFE's contribution, including a match by co-founders Pat and Kelly Cullum, was pivotal in achieving the goal. Kelly Cullum expressed pride in supporting SARC's vision, underscoring the belief that safety and love should extend to all family members, including pets. The success of the fundraiser is a testament to the community's solidarity and the impactful partnership between BFFE and SARC.
