Bick Law LLP Adds Former DOJ Environmental Trial Attorney to Strengthen Environmental Legal Practice

Newport Beach-based law firm Bick Law LLP has expanded its environmental law practice by hiring Tyler Alexander, a former U.S. Department of Justice trial attorney with seven years of experience in environmental and natural resources law.

Alexander brings a comprehensive background in federal environmental statutes, including expertise in the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, and Clean Water Act. During his tenure at the Department of Justice's Environment and Natural Resources Division, he defended critical government permits and projects involving complex legal issues such as border security, mineral development, and wildfire mitigation.

The addition of Alexander represents a strategic enhancement of Bick Law's litigation capabilities. Co-managing partner Kimberly Bick highlighted the firm's commitment to building a robust environmental law practice, noting that Alexander's expertise provides deeper subject matter knowledge in areas like water resources law and environmental regulatory compliance.

Alexander's professional background includes litigation experience in federal courts nationwide, representing the United States in Fifth Amendment takings trials and handling water rights matters in California. He previously served as a judicial clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, bringing additional judicial perspective to the firm.

This recruitment comes as Bick Law celebrates its 10-year anniversary and follows the firm's recent recognition in the Chambers Spotlight California 2025 Guide for environmental law in Orange County. The move underscores the firm's ongoing strategy of attracting top-tier legal talent to provide sophisticated environmental legal services across multiple industries.
