Bonsai Robotics Unveils Teletrace™ Platform to Revolutionize Farm Equipment Management
Bonsai Robotics Inc. introduces Teletrace™, a platform enabling unified monitoring and management of both autonomous and conventional farm equipment, marking a significant step towards digital transformation in agriculture.

Bonsai Robotics Inc., a pioneer in agriculture AI solutions, has launched Teletrace™, a software ecosystem designed to create a connected farming platform for high-value crops. This innovative platform extends its capabilities beyond autonomous machines to include conventional tractors and implements, allowing them to be monitored and managed through a single digital interface.
The Teletrace™ platform is enhanced by the Topcon CL-55, a compact telemetry device that connects to the CAN bus found on most modern tractors and implements. This connection facilitates the transmission of real-time machine data via Topcon’s CloudLink service, integrating it into Bonsai’s cloud platform. This advancement enables growers to oversee all equipment, regardless of its autonomy level or age, through a unified interface.
Tyler Niday, CEO and co-founder of Bonsai, emphasized the company's mission to revolutionize farming by making every piece of machinery smart through Teletrace™. This allows for the management of mixed fleets from any location, tracking operational metrics such as harvest rate and input usage, thereby optimizing farm operations.
Bonsai's technology is specifically designed for orchard environments, where traditional navigation systems like GPS and LiDAR are less effective. The vision-based autonomy stack ensures reliable operation under challenging conditions, such as dense canopy and uneven terrain, without relying on GPS. With Teletrace™, growers can minimize operator errors through digital job dispatching and smart implement control, paving the way for gradual autonomy adoption without the need for costly equipment upgrades.
Following successful implementations in almond, pistachio, and citrus operations in California and Australia, Bonsai is set to transform the agricultural sector by connecting and intelligently managing a diverse range of farming equipment. The company's vision is to offer a single, intuitive platform for managing machines across different brands, horsepower ranges, and autonomy levels, heralding a new era of digital farming.
