The Brooklyn Tabernacle announced that Pastor Jim Cymbala and Carol Cymbala will host the Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference from October 2 to 4, 2026, at the church's location in Brooklyn, New York. The three-day event aims to refresh and equip those serving in ministry through two specialized tracks: one for pastors, ministry leaders, and lay workers, and another for worship leaders, choir members, and music ministry teams.

The teaching track will focus on biblical encouragement and collective prayer, while the music track will equip attendees to cultivate deeper spiritual impact through music and worship. Participants in the music track will also have the rare opportunity to rehearse and sing with the Grammy Award–winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

Pastor Jim Cymbala, who has led the Brooklyn Tabernacle for more than five decades, emphasized the conference's purpose. "I've had the privilege of pastoring for more than five decades, and I know firsthand the challenges and blessings of ministry," he said. "The Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire Conference is about helping leaders and worship teams go home with a renewed heart and a fresh fire for what God has called them to do."

Cymbala is widely recognized for his best-selling books, including Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire, Fan the Flame, and Jesus Every Day, which have inspired pastors and believers worldwide to deepen their commitment to prayer and biblical preaching.

Carol Cymbala, director of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, has led the choir to seven Grammy Awards, earning global recognition for worship marked by heartfelt, Spirit-led excellence. "Music is a powerful tool for ministry," she noted. "My prayer is that every worship leader, singer, and musician who attends will encounter God's presence in a life-changing way."

The conference comes at a time when many ministry leaders face burnout and seek renewal. By offering practical insights and hands-on experience, the event addresses a critical need for spiritual and emotional refreshment among those serving in church leadership and worship. The inclusion of a dedicated music track also highlights the growing recognition of music's role in fostering congregational engagement and spiritual growth.
