Broward Education Foundation and SponsorPlace Partner to Transform School Sponsorships
Broward County Public Schools pioneers a national partnership with SponsorPlace, streamlining school sponsorships and fostering community-business engagement to enhance educational outcomes.

The Broward Education Foundation, in collaboration with SponsorPlace, has initiated a pioneering partnership aimed at revolutionizing how schools connect with local businesses for sponsorships. This innovative platform, the first of its kind in the nation, enables Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) to directly engage with community businesses, thereby unlocking new revenue streams for athletics, performing arts, PTAs, and special events. Broward Education Foundation’s dedicated landing page showcases various sponsorship opportunities available across the district.
Dr. Howard Hepburn, Superintendent of BCPS, emphasized the partnership's potential to enhance educational outcomes through community collaboration. The SponsorPlace platform, developed by Campus Multimedia, offers a transparent and efficient solution for schools to manage sponsorships, reducing administrative burdens and allowing more focus on student programs. James A. Knapp, President & CEO of Broward Education Foundation, highlighted the platform's ability to provide schools with autonomy while ensuring district-wide oversight and compliance.
SponsorPlace addresses the critical need for funding in schools by simplifying the sponsorship process, making it accessible to all schools regardless of size or location. Karl Mawhinney, CEO of Campus Multimedia, pointed out the mutual benefits for schools and local businesses, fostering meaningful sponsorships that support educational excellence. The success story of South Plantation High School illustrates the platform's effectiveness, where the school generated revenue through digital storefronts and QR codes without traditional outreach efforts.
