Caliber Expands Fleet Services Nationwide with Car Body Lab Acquisition

Caliber, the automotive repair and service company behind brands including Caliber Collision and Caliber Auto Glass, has acquired mobile auto body repair company Car Body Lab in a strategic move to expand its nationwide fleet servicing capabilities. The acquisition, effective immediately, adds Car Body Lab's operations across 20 cities in seven states to Caliber's portfolio, though financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition specifically strengthens Caliber Fleet Solutions, the company's specialized division for auto body and glass repair serving large volume fleets and businesses. According to Shawn Hezar, Chief Corporate Development Officer of Caliber, the move reinforces the company's customer-first approach by enabling faster and more reliable service for fleet managers. Stephens Inc. served as exclusive financial advisor to Car Body Lab Inc. on the transaction.

Brent Jones, SVP Operations & Fleet Solutions at Caliber, emphasized that this acquisition represents a key milestone in the company's growth strategy, accelerating its ability to support evolving customer needs nationwide. The addition of Car Body Lab enhances Caliber's national footprint with advanced digital capabilities, furthering its mission to become the most trusted automotive services provider in every community it serves.

As part of the acquisition, Car Body Lab founder and CEO Rudy Joudet will join Caliber's leadership team as Vice President of Operations. Joudet noted that Caliber's innovative approach to auto body repair made the partnership compelling, and he looks forward to leveraging combined expertise to deliver quality repairs with speed and precision. Car Body Lab will continue to operate as a standalone business within the Caliber family of brands.
