The Carlsbad Department of Development will host the inaugural Carlsbad Franchise Expo on October 15, 2025, at the Pecos River Village Conference Center, creating a platform to connect local investors with franchise expansion opportunities in one of New Mexico's fastest-growing markets. The event addresses significant commercial gaps identified through recent market analysis, aiming to retain consumer dollars within the community while building local wealth.
Jeff Campbell, Director of Marketing and Business Development, emphasized that Carlsbad's strong growth and unmet market demand create ideal conditions for franchise development. A leakage analysis conducted with Retail Strategies revealed specific areas where consumer spending leaves the community, highlighting opportunities for local investment to fill these gaps. The expo serves as a strategic response to these findings, focusing on empowering local entrepreneurs while attracting national brands to the region.
Beyond networking opportunities, the event will feature educational modules covering business startup fundamentals, franchise investment considerations, and long-term success strategies.
