CENTRESTAGE 2025 Sets Records, Highlighting Hong Kong's Role as Asia's Fashion Hub
The 10th anniversary CENTRESTAGE fashion fair achieved unprecedented scale with record international participation and buyer attendance, underscoring Hong Kong's position as a key platform for global fashion exchange and emerging market opportunities.

The 10th anniversary CENTRESTAGE fashion fair concluded successfully, operating on an unprecedented scale with participation from over 260 brands representing 25 countries and regions. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, the event attracted more than 10,000 trade buyers from 91 countries and regions, with significant growth in attendance from the United Kingdom, Mainland China, India, and Indonesia.
Sophia Chong, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized the fair's role as an essential trade platform, noting that this year's event set records for scale and internationalization. The survey conducted during the fair revealed that 56% of respondents expect sales to increase over the next 12 to 24 months, reflecting optimism about the industry's sales landscape. Key opportunities identified include rising demand from emerging markets (38%) and growth potential in fashion accessories (36%).
The United Kingdom participated as Partner Country for the first time, presenting 16 creative fashion brands and emerging designers through its pavilion. The event featured six themed zones, including a newly launched Accessories zone responding to market demand. Cross-cultural craftsmanship emerged as a significant trend, with brands showcasing traditional techniques such as embroidery, weaving, and tie-dyeing. Highlights included Hong Kong brand Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium Limited using Gambier Canton Silk, and Thai brand Lava Laweng showcasing ethnic weaving craftsmanship.
International designers and brands made notable appearances, with Vald Showroom from Denmark bringing curated selections including HENRIK VIBSKOV. Jacob Jensen, CEO of Vald Showroom, expressed excitement about exploring Asian markets. Hong Kong brand Imelda Ho Millinery praised the HKTDC's support for independent designers, noting the fair's opportunities for overseas expansion.
Buyers from around the world praised the fair's global appeal and diverse offerings. Marianna Kuvvet, Brand Director of Tomorrow Ltd, highlighted the caliber of local talent, while Stavros Karelis, Founder of Machine-A, described CENTRESTAGE as an exciting platform for new talent and a gateway to Asia's market. The event featured 50 fashion shows, including CENTRESTAGE ELITES with couturier Guo Pei's collection "Gilternity: An Everlasting Radiance", and the Fashion Hong Kong show celebrating a decade of design.
