Chile Tech Tour 2025 Brings Record 17 Startups to Miami as Gateway to U.S. Market

Miami will host the Chile Tech Tour 2025 from October 6 to 10, featuring 17 Chilean startups across FinTech, HealthTech, and EdTech sectors, marking the largest Latin American delegation to visit the United States this year. Claudia Serrer, Trade Commissioner of ProChile in Miami, who appears on the cover of Hispanic Target Magazine, leads this initiative that aims to create bridges between Chilean innovation and Miami's expanding technology ecosystem.

The program includes business roundtables, investor meetings, accelerator sessions, and visits to local tech incubators designed to facilitate market entry for Chilean companies. Serrer emphasized Miami's strategic advantages, noting that the city has become a natural meeting point for Latin talent due to both geographic proximity and its multicultural environment that supports startup integration. Participation growth demonstrates Miami's established role, with the tour expanding from initial prospecting visits to five companies in previous years to the current record 17 participants.

While acknowledging other important U.S. technology hubs like New York, San Francisco, and Austin, Serrer positions Miami as the ideal starting point for Chilean companies entering the American market. The city's connectivity with both Latin America and Europe, combined with its open and expanding ecosystem, provides a foundation from which companies can later scale into more specialized markets in California or Texas. This approach reflects a strategic understanding of regional market characteristics within the United States.

For entrepreneurs hesitant about U.S. market entry, Serrer encourages leveraging available networks and tools in Miami, describing the American market as competitive but rich with opportunities. She emphasizes the importance of responsible exploration and taking the initial step toward international expansion. The Chile Tech Tour represents part of Chile's broader commitment to innovation and internationalization, with Serrer emerging as a key figure connecting Santiago and Miami while positioning Chilean startups on the global stage.

The concentrated focus on FinTech, HealthTech, and EdTech sectors aligns with both Chilean innovation strengths and Miami's growing specialization in these areas. The timing of the event coincides with Miami's continued emergence as a technology hub, particularly for companies seeking connections between North American and Latin American markets. This delegation size and sector focus signal Chile's strategic approach to international technology collaboration and market expansion.
