Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. has advanced its Nexus Rapid Deployment Base Station with the NX-20 and NX-24 models, significantly increasing payload elevation and transmission range to support defense, security, and mining operations in challenging environments.
Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. (CSE: CTTT) (FRA: X9V) has announced a major advancement in payload elevation and network reliability with its new NX-20 and NX-24 models, designed to support critical operations across defense, border security, surveillance, and mining sectors. The engineering team extended the operational height of the Nexus Rapid Deployment Base Station to over 20 meters, with the NX-20 capable of lifting up to 100kg of payload equipment to 20m and an optional extension allowing antennas to reach 24m.
This height increase significantly expands the system's transmission range, enabling the NX-20 to transmit to a network node up to 18.4km away on flat terrain, reducing the impact of tree cover and built environments on network effectiveness. Brenton Scott, CEO, emphasized that height is the most important factor in network reliability and flexibility, stating that these models push the boundaries of operational capability for mission-critical communications.
Key engineering milestones include further development of CiTech's patented deployment mechanism to increase load capacity while maintaining core mechanical principles. The addition of a second trapezoidal screw drive enhances deployment stability, with collateral benefits also improving the weight capacity of the NX-16 model. The company has integrated support for VTOL fixed-wing surveillance drones, extending effective ISR coverage for defense and security applications.
