Comcast has reached a milestone in its Rio Rancho expansion project, now providing its high-speed, secure fiber network to over 20,000 homes and businesses. This development introduces Xfinity Internet with speeds exceeding 1 Gig, Xfinity Mobile, and Comcast Business Internet and Mobile services to the community, significantly broadening network provider options for residents and local businesses.
Rio Rancho Mayor Greggory Hull highlighted the project's alignment with the community's growth, acknowledging the challenges faced during construction but emphasizing the benefits of expanded access to Comcast's services. Upon completion, the project will offer residents and businesses a comprehensive suite of Xfinity products, including Internet, video, mobile, voice, and managed home solutions, alongside Comcast Business services tailored for organizations of all sizes.
Jerry Schalow, President of the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce, pointed out the critical role of high-speed connectivity in fostering economic development, attracting new industries, and supporting educational success. Comcast's initiative also includes programs like Internet Essentials and Lift Zones, aimed at bridging the digital divide and enhancing digital literacy among students and families.
