Critical Infrastructure Technologies Expands European Presence with Latvian Subsidiary

Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. has formed a new Latvian entity, SIA CiTech Europe, representing a significant advancement in the company's international growth strategy. The Vancouver-based developer of autonomous mobile communications platforms plans to establish Latvia as its European headquarters in 2026, including a manufacturing facility and dedicated sales force to serve markets across Europe.

The company is in advanced discussions to locate the new facility in the Special Economic Zone in the port city of Liepaja on Latvia's western coast. This strategic location will enable CiTech to leverage the region's logistical advantages and its position within the European Union, while benefiting from the SEZ's current corporate tax rate of 4%.

As part of its due diligence process, CiTech has conducted high-level meetings with key Latvian stakeholders including the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Latvian Investment and Development Agency, Armed Forces Command, Liepaja Local Government, and Liepaja Special Economic Zone Agency. These engagements have confirmed Latvia's attractiveness as the home for the company's European headquarters.

Brenton Scott, CEO of CiTech, stated that the company is accelerating its establishment in Latvia to build strong partnerships and create a hub supporting defense, border security and surveillance, infrastructure, and innovation across European markets. The formation of SIA CiTech Europe strengthens the company's international footprint and represents a long-term commitment to the European market.

CiTech specializes in autonomous, high-capacity, rapidly deployable technology that delivers essential services to remote locations. The company targets mining, defense, border security, surveillance, and emergency services sectors with its first product release, the Nexus 16, which provides critical mobile telecommunications using patented technologies. The company's self-deploying platform addresses limitations of current rapidly deployable communication solutions, supporting radio equipment including LTE and other technological payloads such as surveillance and anti-drone systems.
