CRVA Launches 50th Anniversary Road Trip to Support Care Camps for Children with Cancer
The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association embarks on a cross-country tour to celebrate its 50th anniversary, promote the RV lifestyle, and raise funds for Care Camps Foundation, supporting children with cancer.

The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) has initiated a significant cross-country road trip to commemorate its 50th anniversary, aiming to celebrate the RV lifestyle and support a noble cause. Starting June 16th, CRVA's President, Shane Devenish, will traverse Canada in a specially wrapped 2025 Citation Reward Travel Trailer, engaging with the RV community and raising funds for the Care Camps Foundation. This charity plays a crucial role in providing healing camp experiences for children battling cancer.
This journey underscores the growing popularity of RVing in Canada, with over 2.1 million households owning an RV. The lifestyle not only offers a unique way to explore the country's scenic beauty but also contributes significantly to the economy, generating over $3.4 billion annually and supporting more than 14,000 jobs. The CRVA's tour, featuring stops at campgrounds and RV dealerships across the nation, highlights the industry's economic impact and the communal spirit of RV enthusiasts.
At each stop, the public is encouraged to visit the anniversary trailer, share their RVing stories, and participate in a fundraiser for Care Camps. Tickets sold offer a chance to win the trailer, valued at over $100,000, with all proceeds directly benefiting the charity. This initiative reflects CRVA's commitment to giving back to the community and promoting the joys of RVing.
The tour not only celebrates CRVA's milestone but also aims to inspire Canadians to embrace the freedom and adventure of the open road. By supporting Care Camps, the association contributes to a cause that brings hope and joy to children with cancer, making this anniversary celebration truly meaningful.
