D1 Training Expands to Madison with Focus on Youth Athletic Development and Community Impact
The opening of a new D1 Training facility in Madison represents the growing franchisor's strategic expansion and commitment to fostering athletic excellence and personal development through science-backed training programs for all ages.

D1 Training, a fitness enrichment concept utilizing five core tenets of athletic-based training, has opened a new location in Madison at 7830 Highway 72 West, Suite 130. The facility employs a sports-science backed training regimen led by certified trainers to help people of all ages achieve their sport and fitness goals.
Franchisees Brandon and Lisa Badgley bring unique backgrounds to the operation, with Brandon's 20+ year career in aerospace engineering and program management, combined with over 15 years of coaching women's lacrosse, including his current role as assistant women's lacrosse coach at the University of Alabama Huntsville. Lisa brings her teaching experience and passion for working with children to the business.
The Badgleys emphasize that this venture extends beyond fitness to community development and positive impact. They were particularly drawn to D1 Training's opportunity to help young people build confidence through fitness, teaching valuable lessons about perseverance, resilience, and determination. The facility provides an accessible option for kids to stay active, develop strength, and build healthy habits in a supportive environment.
D1 Training offers four age-based programs: Rookie (ages 7-11), Developmental (ages 12-14), Prep (ages 15-18), and D1 Adult. Each program follows the five athletic-based tenets: dynamic warm-up, performance, strength program, core and conditioning, and cool down. The facility also provides group, semi-private, and one-on-one training with world-class coaches.
The Madison location joins D1 Training's growing national network, which includes more than 100 performance centers open with over 100 additional locations in various stages of development. The brand continues to seek qualified franchisees through their franchise opportunities portal. Founded in 2001 by former NFL player Will Bartholomew, D1 Training currently impacts approximately 30,000 athletes nationwide across 135 locations.
This expansion reflects the growing demand for structured athletic training programs that serve both competitive athletes and individuals seeking to improve their fitness levels. The Madison facility's opening demonstrates D1 Training's continued growth strategy while addressing the community's need for quality athletic development programs for youth and adults alike.
