Digital Creative Agency UNFOLD Expands Its Culver City Presence with $11M Office Acquisition

Digital creative agency UNFOLD has significantly expanded its footprint in Culver City through the $11 million acquisition of a 13,110-square-foot office building at 11811 Teale Street, a move that underscores the agency's rapid growth and the shifting dynamics of office space demand. Represented by JLL, this acquisition allows UNFOLD to create a campus environment by combining the new property with its adjacent building at 11801 Teale Street, fostering collaboration and innovation among its team of over 150 professionals.

The newly acquired building, a unique semi-circular Quonset hut style structure, features polished concrete floors, high ceilings, and state-of-the-art recording studios, originally serving as a manufacturing support facility for the Hughes Aircraft Company before its 2018 renovation. This expansion is a testament to UNFOLD's commitment to providing an inspiring workspace that mirrors its creative ethos and supports its full-service capabilities in media, digital advertising, social media, website development, and production services.

Daniel Weisinger, Co-President and Co-Cofounder of UNFOLD, highlighted the acquisition as a pivotal step in the agency's journey, emphasizing the importance of a campus environment in nurturing creativity and collaboration. The deal, facilitated by JLL Senior Vice President Ben Silver, reflects a broader trend of businesses investing in high-quality, unique office spaces in desirable locations to meet long-term needs and enhance corporate culture.

Silver's remarks on the transaction shed light on the evolving office market, where demand for distinctive and well-located spaces remains strong, driven by companies like UNFOLD that see value in owning real estate that aligns with their brand and operational goals. This acquisition not only marks a significant milestone for UNFOLD but also signals the enduring relevance of physical office spaces in the digital age, adapted to meet the changing needs of creative industries.
