Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell Honored as 2026 Woman of Impact, Expanding Advocacy for Special Needs Families

Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell, an award-winning national spokesperson, multimedia marketing strategist, and bilingual disability advocate, was honored as a 2026 Woman of Impact (Kingdom Woman) recipient at the annual Mood-Setter Social held in Groveland, Florida. The event, hosted by Pastor Jodie McCoy, founder of Mood-Setter Conference and Events and First Lady of Hope International Church, recognized women who lead with compassion, positivity, purpose, and meaningful community impact. The gathering brought together women from Lake County and Central Florida for brunch, fellowship, encouragement, fashion, and spiritual renewal.

Dr. Ramos Campbell expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, stating, "To humbly be called a 'Kingdom Woman' feels like an invisible embrace and nudge to continue a life dedicated to purpose and service." She highlighted the challenges of raising a child with special needs while living with an illness, emphasizing that "pain and grief have a way of making everything feel isolated and alone. In those moments, love, support, and the true Godly example of 'you are welcome here' are vital."

The significance of this award extends beyond personal achievement; it underscores the expanding work of Dr. Ramos Campbell through Hope Torchlighters and the forthcoming Hope Wellness Center. These initiatives aim to provide advocacy, inclusion, wellness, and family-centered support for special needs and neurodiverse families. Programs include Buddy Break Respite Care, Beacon of Hope Support Group, VIP Sunday, therapy-based family events, job training, and life skills development. Partnerships with Special Olympics, bilingual parent education events, and VIP Mom and Dad gatherings are also part of the offerings.

The event was supported by fellow honoree Doris Shazier of Shazier Coaching & Consulting, LLC, and Dr. Calandria Smith of Landi-Lou Productions. Dr. Ramos Campbell was accompanied by VIP mothers and advocates, including Luzel Garcia, founder of The Dream Academy; Tania Santos, leader with WeSpeak: Parent Support Group of Lake County; and Barrie Martinez, owner of Amber Treasures at Universal Studios Orlando.

Dr. Ramos Campbell credited her spiritual mentors, Sr. Pastors Dr. Tony and Jodie McCoy, for their influence. Pastor Tony McCoy, a retired NFL player and Florida Gator, chose to care for others rather than rest on his accomplishments, founding Hope International Church over 20 years ago. The church has grown from a small home gathering to a worship campus on State Road 33 in Groveland. "The impact of that choice has positively shifted the lives of countless people around the world," Dr. Ramos Campbell noted, adding that the recognition is about "legacy, faith, community, and the continued call to serve."

This award highlights the critical need for community-based support systems for families navigating special needs and disabilities. As Dr. Ramos Campbell continues to expand her advocacy through Hope Torchlighters and the Hope Wellness Center, her work exemplifies how struggles can be turned into victories and tests into testimonies. The Mood-Setter Social, founded by Pastor Jodie McCoy, serves as a platform to uplift women who lead with compassion and purpose, reinforcing the message that community recognition can fuel further impact.
