DVDFab Marks 23rd Anniversary with Major Software Enhancements and AI Integration
DVDFab's latest release introduces AV1 support, enhanced AI upscaling capabilities, and expanded macOS functionality, positioning the software suite for future media formats and cross-platform workflows.

DVDFab has launched its 23rd anniversary release, featuring significant upgrades to its core software suite including AV1 codec support, improved copy protection handling, and expanded artificial intelligence capabilities. The update represents a strategic move to future-proof the company's media conversion and authoring tools while addressing evolving industry standards and consumer demands for higher quality video formats.
The core ripping functionality now supports AV1 output in MP4 and MKV containers for DVD and Blu-ray content, providing more efficient compression with high-quality SDR results. For UHD content, the software offers native AV1 HDR10 support, marking a significant advancement in next-generation video codec implementation. Additional improvements include a more accurate SRT subtitle OCR engine and 100 new device presets for simplified one-click conversion targeting.
DVDFab's copy protection capabilities have been strengthened to handle newer Java-based protections, including those found on recent Japanese adult DVD releases, ensuring continued compatibility with current media formats. The software maintains its ability to create reliable 1:1 clones and perform smart compression for various disc formats while preserving original menu structures.
The creator tools have been enhanced with integrated video editing capabilities, allowing users to trim, crop, apply effects, and adjust subtitles and audio directly within the authoring workflow. New themed menu templates for weddings, birthdays, and travel scenarios have been added to streamline content creation for personal and professional use.
Artificial intelligence takes center stage with the introduction of AI Upscaler and AI HDR Upconverter modules. These tools leverage NVIDIA's AI Enhancer technology for GPU-accelerated processing, enabling clean upscaling of HD and SD sources while converting SDR content libraries to HDR10 format. The AI modules integrate directly with existing ripper and creator workflows for end-to-end quality enhancement.
Mac users gain significant functionality with the expansion of native macOS support. UHD Creator for Mac now enables true 4K Blu-ray authoring from various 4K source formats, ensuring compatibility with standalone UHD players. Cross-standard conversion tools including Blu-ray to UHD Converter and UHD to Blu-ray Converter bring comprehensive media workflow capabilities to macOS environments, facilitating collaboration in mixed-OS production teams.
The anniversary celebration includes an interactive wheel game offering participants up to two attempts to win coupon bundles worth up to $45, with denominations including $30, $35, and $40. These limited-time offers are restricted to DVDFab All-In-One purchases through the event page and expire 15 minutes after being received. The software suite remains available through various regional websites including French, German, Japanese, and Chinese versions, maintaining the company's global accessibility while ensuring regional compatibility and support.
