DYWIDAG Expands U.S. Operations with Strategic Pennsylvania Facility to Meet Northeast Infrastructure Demand

DYWIDAG, a global leader in structural and geotechnical engineering solutions, has established a new manufacturing facility in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, marking a significant milestone in its U.S. expansion strategy. The facility's strategic Northeast location positions the company to better serve major infrastructure hubs including Philadelphia and New York City, addressing growing regional demand for advanced engineering solutions.

The Pennsylvania facility, located in the former Bethlehem Steel complex, represents both a business expansion and a commitment to industrial revitalization. By repurposing this historic manufacturing site, DYWIDAG contributes to local economic rejuvenation while increasing production capacity and improving delivery times for critical infrastructure projects. This investment underscores the company's dedication to localized support and expertise in key growth markets.

Central to the facility's operations is the production of DYWIDAG's THREADBAR system, the only ASTM A722-compliant reinforcement system available in the U.S. market. This high-performance solution, used in geotechnical and post-tensioning applications worldwide, enables faster construction times, higher quality outcomes, and reduced project costs. The system's higher capacity reinforcement bars reduce steel congestion in structural applications, facilitating easier concrete placement and allowing for more efficient structural designs.

DYWIDAG has assembled an experienced leadership team to drive this expansion phase, including Maureen Merson, a geotechnical engineer with deep project lifecycle knowledge who serves as President of the Mohawk-Hudson Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers at https://www.asce.org. The team also includes Rey Clavel, bringing over two decades of field engineering expertise, and Steve Scott, whose 14 years of technical sales experience will support market development across the region.

The expansion reflects DYWIDAG's 160-year legacy of innovation, which continues through advanced reinforcement systems, data-driven monitoring, and corrosion protection technologies. As infrastructure development accelerates across the Northeast, this strategic investment enables DYWIDAG to provide more responsive customer service, maintain robust regional inventory, and support both public and private sector projects with enhanced production capabilities and technical excellence.
