DYWIDAG Strengthens U.S. Market Presence with New Pennsylvania Facility

DYWIDAG, a global leader in structural and geotechnical engineering solutions, has announced the opening of a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Pennsylvania, significantly expanding its operations in the U.S. This move is aimed at better serving the growing demand for its THREADBAR® systems and other engineering products across the North American market. The facility's strategic location in the Northeast is expected to reduce delivery times, increase production capacity, and enhance service efficiency for customers in the region.

The company, celebrating its 160th anniversary this year, has a storied history of contributing to iconic structures such as Apple’s HQ in California and One World Trade Center in New York. The new Pennsylvania facility underscores DYWIDAG's commitment to innovation and excellence in creating safer, stronger, and smarter structures. According to Hugh Pelham, CEO at DYWIDAG, this expansion is a pivotal part of the company's U.S. growth strategy, enabling faster turnaround times and localized support for customers.

To ensure the success of this new facility, DYWIDAG has appointed a dedicated local sales and management team, including Northeast Sales Manager Steve Scott, Geotechnical Engineer Maureen Merson, and Geotechnical Sales Engineer Rey Clavel. These appointments bring a wealth of experience and technical expertise to the team, further strengthening DYWIDAG's ability to meet the needs of both public and private infrastructure projects in the Northeast.

The THREADBAR® system, DYWIDAG's proprietary high-strength reinforcement solution, is the only ASTM A722 compliant system in the U.S. and is widely used in geotechnical and post-tensioning applications worldwide. The new facility will enhance the company's ability to support large-scale civil engineering projects by improving supply chain efficiency, creating local jobs, and fostering regional economic development. Additionally, the site is expected to serve as a hub for future innovation and collaboration with engineering partners and customers, further solidifying DYWIDAG's position as a leader in the industry.
