Echo Global Logistics Expands Mexican Operations with Monterrey Office to Strengthen Cross-Border Supply Chain

Echo Global Logistics has opened a new cross-border office in Monterrey, Mexico, marking the latest expansion of its growing Mexican operations. The technology-enabled transportation provider has been systematically expanding its cross-border services since last year to provide enhanced support for clients and carriers operating between Mexico and the United States.

This strategic move follows Echo's establishment of its Mexico division headquarters in Mexico City in March, with existing facilities already operating in Guadalajara and Laredo, Texas. The Monterrey location represents a critical addition to Echo's North American network, positioning the company to better serve one of Mexico's key industrial and manufacturing hubs.

Doug Waggoner, Chief Executive Officer at Echo, emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating that through the company's advanced technology suite, Echo is equipped to leverage essential services for cross-border clients and carriers. The company's nearly decade of experience in managing cross-border transportation solutions informed this expansion strategy, which addresses the growing need for comprehensive cross-border services among shippers and carriers.

The Monterrey office will enhance Echo's ability to provide customizable solutions including customs brokerage, transloading, warehousing, and multiple transportation modes. Dave Menzel, President and Chief Operating Officer at Echo, noted that establishing operations within Mexico adds additional support that cross-border clients and carriers need in today's transportation market. The company offers diverse shipping options including Dry Van, Temperature-Controlled shipping, Flatbed, LTL, Intermodal, and Managed Transportation through its Mexico Cross-Border Shipping Solutions.

Troy Ryley, President of Echo Mexico, highlighted the company's unique position as one of the few companies to earn 3PL certification in the CTPAT program for cross-border transportation. This certification, combined with integrated technology and bilingual expertise, positions Echo to maintain freight security while simplifying the complex process of shipping into, out of, and across Mexico.
