Eco Expo Asia 2025 to Showcase Global Green Technologies Driving Carbon Neutrality
The 20th edition of Eco Expo Asia brings together over 300 exhibitors from 12 countries to accelerate carbon reduction goals through innovative green technologies and international collaboration.

Eco Expo Asia 2025, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, will gather more than 300 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions at AsiaWorld-Expo from October 28 to 31. The event, themed Green Innovations for Carbon Neutrality, serves as a critical platform for advancing global environmental protection efforts and supporting China's commitment to reduce economy-wide net greenhouse gas emissions by 7-10% from peak levels by 2035.
HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo emphasized the event's significance, stating that China's climate commitments will significantly boost demand for environmental products. The Expo aligns with Hong Kong's green policy directions, including fostering green and low-carbon living environments and expediting the application of green technologies. This year's edition marks the 20th anniversary of the event, positioning it as a business platform for ESG and sustainable solutions that helps industries worldwide seize opportunities created by the green economy.
The Expo will spotlight three key areas: Circular Economy and Waste Management, Green & Smart Mobility, and ESG-related Services. In Circular Economy and Waste Management, Hong Kong exhibitor Green AI Technology Limited will display a smart sorting bin powered by machine vision and AI algorithms, while China Everbright Environment Group Limited returns with waste-to-energy solutions that transform waste into resources. The Green & Smart Mobility zone features CUHK-incubated start-up Luquos Energy Limited showcasing the world's first commercialised sulfur-based flow battery energy storage system at nearly half the cost of lithium batteries.
International participation has expanded significantly, with Korea and Italy staging group participations for the first time. The Korea pavilion features solutions in air purification, deodorisation, water quality management and waste treatment, while Norway, the Netherlands and Canada return following success in previous years. From the Chinese Mainland, participations include Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other Greater Bay Area cities, joined by Guangxi, Hunan, Shanghai and Inner Mongolia. The ANSO Environmental Technology Industry Alliance, led by the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations for the Belt and Road Regions (ANSO), makes its debut with 11 mainland enterprises showcasing technologies related to water resources and the atmospheric environment.
The highlight event Eco Asia Conference will bring together government representatives from the Chinese Mainland and Belt and Road countries alongside global industry leaders to share the latest policies, projects and insights. The conference will focus on critical topics including the launch of the Hong Kong Circular Built Environment Guidebook and sessions on building a sustainable future and envisioning the future of transportation. Additional events include the 6th Hydrogen Economy Forum featuring representatives from Towngas and experts from the Chinese Mainland and overseas, and the Experience Sharing Forum on Promoting Environmental Business in Overseas Markets inviting representatives from Belt and Road countries.
To encourage public participation in environmental initiatives, the last day of the Expo on October 31 will be Public Day with complimentary admission. Visitors can participate in seminars and green workshops, including a Beeswax Wrap Workshop and Board Game Workshop, while environmental KOL Yeung Ting will share tips for joyful green living. The event also features a Green Mart where the public can shop for sustainable products. Exhibitors and buyers can connect via the Click2Match virtual business matching platform from October 21 to November 7. More information is available at https://www.ecoexpoasia.com.
