Energiekontor AG Annual General Meeting Approves All Agenda Items, Doubles Dividend

Energiekontor AG, a leading German project developer and operator of wind and solar parks, held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 27, 2026, in Ritterhude near Bremen. Shareholders representing approximately 60 percent of the registered share capital approved all agenda items by a large majority, including the discharge of the Management Board and Supervisory Board, appointment of the auditor for 2026, and approval of the remuneration report for 2025.

A key highlight was the approval of a dividend of 1.00 euro per eligible share, double last year’s payout, reflecting the company’s successful 2025 financial year. Despite a challenging market environment, Energiekontor achieved the upper end of its adjusted earnings forecast, with sales and earnings increasing year-on-year. The dividend distribution represents about 35 percent of the company’s balance sheet profit.

Management reported that operational performance in the current financial year is proceeding according to plan. As of the first quarter of 2026, 22 wind and solar park projects with a combined capacity of around 650 megawatts are under construction, including nine projects totaling more than 230 megawatts for the company’s proprietary portfolio. Additional financial closings are expected throughout the year, supporting the expansion and technological rejuvenation of its park portfolio. The company is also pursuing project sales and advancing its project pipeline in core markets.

Energiekontor recently secured commercially attractive power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 17 German post-EEG wind parks with a capacity of over 100 megawatts for 2026 and 2027. The company is driving expansion and modernization through new parks, repowering, and smart technologies.

CEO Peter Szabo acknowledged ongoing regulatory and economic challenges but highlighted robust operational performance. He noted that as regulatory and infrastructure requirements become clearer, Energiekontor expects improved visibility for project implementation. The project pipeline now exceeds 12 gigawatts, including US solar project rights, with a higher proportion of advanced projects having building permits or financial closings.

For 2026, the company reaffirms its Group EBT target of 40 to 60 million euros and remains confident in achieving its medium-term growth strategy for 2023-2028.
