Energy Fuels Achieves Record Uranium Production at Pinyon Plain Mine
Energy Fuels reports unprecedented uranium mining rates and high-grade drill results at its Pinyon Plain mine, potentially signaling significant growth in U.S. uranium production and reserves.

Energy Fuels has reached a milestone in uranium production, extracting 4,604 tons of ore containing approximately 151,400 pounds of uranium at the Pinyon Plain mine in April. The company reported an average grade of 1.64% eU₃O₈, marking the highest monthly production since mining operations began.
Complementing its production achievements, Energy Fuels also disclosed promising drill results from the Juniper Zone, with intercepts reaching as high as 20.11% eU₃O₈. These findings suggest the potential for increased uranium reserves and lower extraction costs.
CEO Mark Chalmers highlighted the significance of these results, indicating they could position Pinyon Plain as the leading uranium mine in the United States in the coming years. The developments underscore the company's strategic importance in domestic critical minerals production.
The record production and high-grade drill results come at a time of growing interest in uranium as a carbon-free energy source. By demonstrating the ability to extract uranium more efficiently and at higher grades, Energy Fuels may play a crucial role in supporting the expansion of nuclear energy infrastructure in the United States.
