Energy Fuels Inc. Achieves Commercial Production of On-Spec NdPr, Marking a Milestone in U.S. Rare Earth Elements Industry

Energy Fuels Inc. (NYSE American: UUUU) (TSX: EFR) has announced the achievement of commercial production of separated neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) at its White Mesa Mill in Utah, meeting the specifications required for rare earth element (REE) metal makers. This development is pivotal for the production of permanent magnets used in electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid technologies, highlighting the company's role in advancing the U.S. rare earth elements sector.

The NdPr produced is on-spec and can be produced at the full design capacity of the new phase 1 REE separation circuit, which ranges between 850 to 1,000 metric tons annually. Energy Fuels anticipates shipping commercial quantities of separated NdPr by the end of the month, marking the first time in decades that a U.S. company has produced on-spec separated REE from monazite on a commercial scale.

This milestone not only underscores Energy Fuels' capability in the REE market but also reduces the U.S. dependency on foreign sources for critical materials essential for clean energy technologies. The White Mesa Mill's unique position as the only conventional uranium mill operating in the U.S. today further enhances its strategic importance in the nation's energy and technology sectors.
