Ethema Health Corporation Expands Operations with Florida and Kentucky Facilities

Ethema Health Corporation (OTCPINK: GRST) has reported significant developments in its behavioral healthcare operations, including revenue growth, facility expansion, and strategic repositioning in the substance use disorder treatment market.

The company experienced a 16.5% revenue increase, growing from $5.16 million to $6.02 million in 2024. Despite this growth, operating expenses rose by 24.9% to $7.35 million, resulting in a net operating loss of $1.33 million compared to $0.54 million in the previous year.

Key strategic moves include the expansion of treatment facilities in Florida and Kentucky. The company successfully added a new 25-bed detox facility in Boca Raton, Florida, increasing its total Florida capacity to 87 beds. In Kentucky, Ethema acquired Edgewater's treatment operations, adding 347 licensed beds, with 275 currently operational.

The company recently received re-certification from the Joint Commission for its West Palm Beach and Boca Raton locations, demonstrating compliance with high-quality healthcare standards. In Kentucky, Ethema obtained Medicaid approval and Department of Corrections clearance, which is expected to enhance revenue growth opportunities.

CEO Shawn Leon acknowledged the challenges of increased operating expenses but expressed optimism about future growth. The company aims to increase facility utilization to 85% in Kentucky within the first year of operations, with projected quarterly revenues of $3.8 million.

These expansions position Ethema to potentially transform its financial performance by leveraging increased capacity and strategic market positioning in the behavioral healthcare sector.
