Family Court Reform Advocate Teresa Sneed to Lead Discussion on Systemic Justice Issues
National Family Justice CEO Teresa Sneed will lead a critical virtual discussion on September 7, 2025, examining systemic failures in family courts and exploring reforms to protect children, parents, and constitutional rights.

Teresa Sneed, Founder and CEO of National Family Justice, will lead a virtual discussion on family court reform hosted by the Truth and Democracy Coalition on September 7, 2025. The event will examine how family courts impact children, parents, and constitutional rights, addressing systemic failures that perpetuate coercion, alienation, and legal abuse.
Sneed, a nationally recognized leader in trauma-informed, data-driven reform, brings extensive experience in legislative advocacy and legal reform. She authored Lance's Law, a landmark bill advancing protections for veterans and service members who are survivors of domestic violence. Her organization plays a leading role in transforming family courts through amicus briefs in critical parental rights cases, resources for families in crisis, and nationwide reform collaborations.
The discussion will focus on ensuring justice and fairness in family courts, identifying necessary protections for children and parents, and exploring real reforms being pursued. Sneed emphasized that the event aims to shine a light on systemic injustices and develop solutions that protect families while building a legal system rooted in justice and constitutional rights.
The free virtual event will be held via Zoom at https://zoom.us/register and is open to advocates, parents, legal professionals, and community members. The Truth and Democracy Coalition, which hosts the event, works to defend democracy and advance justice through education, advocacy, and civic engagement.
