FinServ Foundation Appoints New Mentorship Director to Strengthen NextGen Leadership in Financial Services
A major financial services nonprofit has appointed a veteran industry executive to lead its mentorship program, signaling an enhanced commitment to developing future talent in the financial sector through structured guidance and educational opportunities.

The FinServ Foundation has named Samantha Allen, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Merit Financial Advisors, as its new Mentorship Program Director, positioning the nonprofit to expand its influence in shaping the next generation of financial services leaders.
The appointment comes at a crucial time for the financial services industry, which faces ongoing challenges in attracting and retaining young talent. The foundation's mentorship program, which currently impacts over 600 FinServ Fellows across more than 40 colleges and universities, provides vital support through group coaching, structured mentorship, and industry exposure opportunities.
Allen's appointment could significantly impact the industry's future workforce development. The foundation's comprehensive two-year fellowship program, which includes group coaching and fully covered conference experiences, has already demonstrated success in broadening industry exposure for emerging professionals, with more than 200 students attending conferences in the past year alone.
Allen brings over a decade of experience in financial services and marketing leadership, having held senior positions at Carson Group, FiComm Partners, and TD Ameritrade. She succeeds Kellan Brown, who developed the foundation's initial mentorship program before moving to 100 Women in Finance as Chief Operating Officer.
The appointment reflects broader industry efforts to address succession planning and diversity in financial services. Through structured mentorship and educational initiatives, the FinServ Foundation's program aims to improve industry retention rates among young professionals, potentially reshaping the demographic landscape of financial services in the coming years.
