Global Blockchain Leaders to Convene at US Capitol for Future of Money Summit
Top policymakers and blockchain innovators will gather in Washington, DC to establish regulatory frameworks for digital assets that balance innovation with market integrity during the 2025 Future of Money, Governance, and the Law summit.

The Government Blockchain Association and the Edge of Company will host the 2025 Future of Money, Governance, and the Law summit at the US Capitol from October 29-30, bringing together government policymakers, blockchain industry innovators, and financial experts from around the world. This gathering occurs at a critical juncture as governments worldwide seek to establish regulatory frameworks for rapidly evolving digital technologies.
U.S. Representative Bill Huizenga, Vice Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, will join a distinguished panel including U.S. Representative Bryan Steil, Baroness Pola Uddin of the UK House of Lords, Dr. Lisa Cameron of the UK-US Crypto Alliance, and Dan Spuller of the Blockchain Association. These leaders will examine how governments can craft responsible frameworks for digital assets that foster innovation while ensuring market integrity and strengthening international financial cooperation.
The event comes at a pivotal moment as interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and AI technologies reaches new heights globally. Gerard Dache, Executive Director of the GBA, emphasized that the summit bridges the gap between innovation and public policy, informing legislation and shaping regulatory frameworks that will advance the future of digital governance. The timing is particularly significant as critical global infrastructure determining cryptocurrency's positioning on the world financial stage is already being developed.
Attendees will engage in immersive discussions covering decentralized finance, AI governance, national security implications, and tokenization of assets. The programming aims to bring lawmakers up to speed about the rapid evolution of technologies like AI, blockchain, and quantum computing while examining their impacts across both public and private sectors. The summit seeks to spark meaningful connections and accelerate adoption of transformative technologies that will define coming decades.
The event will culminate with two published reports that will be shared with policymakers worldwide as educational tools. The Digital Asset Roundtable of Experts will release findings, while the GBA will publish its report on Preventing Government Fraud, Waste & Abuse with Blockchain. These documents will serve as resources for governments seeking innovative technological solutions to complex problems.
On October 29, a 1920s-themed gala at a luxurious off-site location will provide opportunities for networking and relationship-building beyond formal sessions. While the daytime sessions on October 30 are free for public attendance, priority will be given to government policymakers, GBA members, and invited guests due to limited capacity.
