Global Maternity Photography Award Celebrates Diverse Talent Across 17 Countries

The Outstanding Maternity Award has concluded its 37th season, recognizing photographers from 17 countries for their exceptional work capturing the maternity spectrum, including family, motherhood, childbirth, and lifestyle photography. The international competition, established in 2014, serves as a platform for photographers to gain visibility, receive professional recognition, and expand their careers through global exposure.

Season 37 featured a diverse group of winners representing the United States, Ukraine, Germany, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Portugal, Russia, Austria, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, France, French Polynesia, and Luxembourg. The award accepts photographs that explore the entire maternity experience, with particular value placed on images that capture the essence and beauty of the maternity world through both studio and outdoor sessions.

Eliane Pellegrini, the multi-awarded international photographer who has led the Outstanding Maternity Award since its inception, emphasizes the significant personal and professional growth participants experience throughout each season. The competition provides valuable feedback that brings satisfaction to the entire Outstanding team while helping photographers gain new clients, reach career milestones, and expand their professional networks.

The judging panel for Season 37 included Katrine Moite, an award-winning photographer and filmmaker based in New York City who specializes in intimate portrayals of motherhood and documentary storytelling. Moite, who relocated from Ukraine to Manhattan after law school, built her photography brand from the ground up and has earned top honors from prestigious awards including the Global Photography Awards and European Photography Awards. Her acclaimed documentary Don't Have My Home Anymore… sheds light on the experiences of Ukrainian women displaced by war and has received international recognition.

Also serving as a judge was Julia Marse, a professional photographer, international educator, and brand ambassador based in London. As founder of Marse Studios and an international photography school, Marse has completed over 10,000 photo shoots and trained more than 2,000 students worldwide. She has led workshops across 27 countries and serves as a jury member for numerous international photography competitions while promoting professional photography equipment through her brand ambassador roles.

The Outstanding Maternity Award continues to provide a vital platform for photographers specializing in maternity and family photography to gain international exposure and professional validation. By bringing together talented artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, the award fosters global connections within the photography community while celebrating the artistic representation of motherhood and family experiences across different societies and traditions.
