GoTo Foods Expands Global Footprint with Moe’s Casa Mexicana and Major India Deal
GoTo Foods introduces Moe’s Casa Mexicana to international markets and secures a 45-unit franchise agreement in India, signaling strategic global growth in the fast casual Mexican cuisine sector.

GoTo Foods LLC has announced the international launch of Moe’s Casa Mexicana, a new concept derived from Moe’s Southwest Grill, alongside a significant 45-unit master franchise agreement in India with Unify Foodworks. This development represents a strategic move to cater to the growing global demand for fast casual Mexican cuisine, with 60% of GoTo Foods' development pipeline now focused outside the U.S.
The creation of Moe’s Casa Mexicana was informed by insights from over 2,000 consumers across six countries, ensuring the concept meets local tastes while maintaining the brand's core Mexican flavors. The menu features adaptable options like tacos, burritos, and nachos, with localized proteins and scalable spice levels, particularly for the Indian market. The concept also offers flexible store formats, including dine-in and kiosk options, to suit various market conditions.
Jim Holthouser, CEO of GoTo Foods, highlighted the significance of this launch, stating, GoTo Foods is leveraging its platform company model to expand Moe’s Southwest Grill globally, following the successful international growth of brands like Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s. The agreement with Unify Foodworks to develop 45 locations in India by 2033 underscores the brand's appeal and operational scalability.
Dave Mikita, President of International and Retail Channels at GoTo Foods, emphasized the data-driven approach behind Moe’s Casa Mexicana, combining global flavors with local adaptability for long-term success. GoTo Foods' centralized tools and franchise-first model support this expansion, enabling brands to share capabilities while adapting to regional preferences.
With operations in over 65 countries and territories, and more than 2,000 international commitments, GoTo Foods is targeting further expansion in high-potential markets such as the UK, Australia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. This strategic growth underscores the company's commitment to delivering consistency, innovation, and operational excellence across global markets.
