The GoVA Foundation has announced a strategic partnership with U.S. Century Bank to extend free digital financial education to low- and moderate-income military families in Broward County, Florida. This initiative, supported by a Community Development grant from U.S. Century Bank, will utilize GoVA's platform, The Edge, to offer interactive courses and financial tools designed to foster financial independence among military families.
George Earhart, Executive Director of GoVA Foundation, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the platform's user-focused design aimed at creating lasting positive impacts. Martha Guerra-Kattou of U.S. Century Bank emphasized the partnership's alignment with the bank's mission to support community success and financial empowerment.
With over 6,600 membership requests nationwide, the demand for financial education among military families is evident. The partnership quickly identified qualified households in Southern Florida to benefit from the program, providing them with 12 months of unlimited access to The Edge's resources. This collaboration underscores U.S. Century Bank's commitment to the military community and both organizations' dedication to expanding access to financial education.
