Habit Burger & Grill Launches 'Winning Is A Habit' Campaign to Celebrate USA TODAY Rankings
Habit Burger & Grill, in partnership with Barrett Hofherr, launches a creative campaign mocking competitors after securing top spots in USA TODAY's 10Best rankings, highlighting the brand's competitive edge and marketing prowess.

Habit Burger & Grill has once again demonstrated its marketing ingenuity with the launch of the 'Winning Is A Habit' campaign, a bold move that follows its recent accolades in the USA TODAY 10Best rankings. Securing the top spot in three categories, including Best Fast-Casual Restaurant and Best Side, and ranking #1 for its Double Char Burger for the second consecutive year, the brand has partnered with agency Barrett Hofherr to craft a campaign that not only celebrates these achievements but also playfully taunts its competitors.
The campaign, running from August 6 to 15, builds on a previous stunt where Habit Burger & Grill cheekily congratulated In-N-Out for being #2 with a billboard near LAX. This year, the message was updated to reflect In-N-Out's drop to #4, showcasing Habit's confidence and competitive spirit. The campaign includes a series of targeted social media videos and out-of-home billboards aimed at competitors who ranked below Habit in the USA TODAY lists. From a paper crown for Burger King to a wrestling belt for Whataburger, the executions are designed to be both humorous and pointed.
According to Jack Hinchliffe, Chief Marketing Officer at Habit, the campaign leverages the brand's victories to engage consumers and differentiate itself in a crowded market. 'We've always known the Double Char belongs at the top. Turns out, America agrees,' Hinchliffe remarked. The campaign also introduces a digital offer, providing 20 percent off a $10 purchase, aiming to convert the buzz into increased foot traffic and trial.
With nearly 400 locations and a growing presence on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, Habit Burger & Grill continues to use its recognition as a springboard for creative and provocative marketing. The 'Winning Is A Habit' campaign exemplifies how the brand turns its achievements into opportunities to stand out and connect with consumers in a memorable way.
