High Street Perimeter Launches Holiday Programming with First-Ever Outdoor Ice Rink

High Street in Atlanta's Perimeter has unveiled an extensive holiday programming lineup that includes Dunwoody's first-ever outdoor ice skating rink, positioning the newly opened mixed-use destination as a seasonal gathering place for the community. The holiday initiative represents a strategic effort to establish High Street as a regional destination while driving economic activity for its retailers and restaurants during the crucial holiday shopping season.

The centerpiece of the holiday programming is High Street Skate, a brand-new ice rink that will operate on The Green from November 23 through January 19. The rink represents a significant investment in seasonal programming that aims to attract visitors throughout the holiday period. Tickets will be available online through High Street's website and include skate rentals, with hours varying by day and operations weather-dependent.

Beyond the ice rink, High Street is launching multiple complementary experiences designed to create a comprehensive holiday destination. Agave Bandido's Maya Speak Tiki will transform into The Reindeer Room, a Christmas pop-up bar operating from November 19 through January 3, offering festive cocktails in a tropical holiday setting. The mixed-use development will also host Snapshots with Santa, a complimentary photo experience beginning November 28 in High Street's jewelbox space behind The Green. Appointments for the Santa sessions will be available through highstreetatlanta.com/events/snapshots starting November 11.

The holiday programming includes several ticketed events that combine entertainment with charitable components. Merry & Make on December 11 and 18 offers ornament decorating and festive cocktails for $40 per person, with proceeds benefiting local charities. Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus on December 13 and 20 provides family programming at $35 per family, including crafts and treats. Tickets and additional information for these events can be found at highstreetatlanta.com/events/merrymake and highstreetatlanta.com/events/storytime respectively.

The holiday season culminates with High Street's Sip & Sparkle event on December 27, featuring a live DJ, craft cocktails, and light bites for $40 per person. This end-of-year celebration represents the development's effort to extend holiday programming beyond traditional dates. Event details are available at highstreetatlanta.com/events/sipsparkle.

The comprehensive holiday initiative serves multiple strategic purposes for the newly opened development. By creating a destination experience, High Street aims to drive foot traffic to its retail and dining establishments during the critical holiday shopping period. The programming also establishes the mixed-use development as a community hub in the Perimeter area, potentially increasing long-term visitor engagement beyond the holiday season. The variety of programming—from family-friendly activities to adult-oriented events—demonstrates the development's effort to appeal to diverse demographic segments within the community.
