The Hong Kong Trade Development Council will host a 'Hong Kong Tech Pavilion' at VivaTech 2026 in Paris, featuring 24 startups in AI, health tech, and sustainability to connect with global investors and foster international collaboration.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host a 'Hong Kong Tech Pavilion' at Viva Technology (VivaTech) 2026, Europe's premier startup and technology summit, from June 17 to 20 in Paris. The Pavilion will bring together 24 Hong Kong startups to showcase innovations in artificial intelligence and robotics, health technology, and sustainability and climate technology. This initiative aims to connect these startups with global investors and facilitate cross-regional exchanges, underscoring Hong Kong's development as an international innovation and technology hub.
In collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels, the HKTDC will organize thematic seminars, startup pitching sessions, and networking receptions. These events are designed to foster collaboration between Hong Kong startups and international buyers, investors, and tech leaders. Key partners supporting the Pavilion include Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Cyberport.
Chris Lo, Regional Director for Europe, Central Asia & Israel at HKTDC, emphasized the importance of the Pavilion: 'Hong Kong is actively developing into an international innovation and technology hub. As one of the key enablers, the HKTDC supports enterprises in going global by curating overseas platforms and facilitating cross-regional exchanges. Building on last year's success, we are further expanding the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion at VivaTech this year to deepen connections among startups, tech leaders, large corporations, and investors, fostering innovative collaborations and business matchmaking.'
A highlight of the event will be a thematic seminar and networking reception titled 'Building Resilient Tech Ecosystems: Powering the Next Wave of International Tech Leadership from Hong Kong' on June 19. Shirley Yung, Special Representative for Hong Kong Economic & Trade Affairs to the European Union, will deliver a keynote speech. The seminar will feature segments on innovation infrastructure, market fit, and talent-driven technological development, with participation from Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Hong Kong Productivity Council, academia, and incubators.
Three pitching sessions will allow startups to present to global investors. On June 17, the Robotics and Microelectronics theme will feature seven enterprises, including Bacbudy Limited, which develops intelligent wearable and robotic assistive devices for the lower back, and Cybercrystal Technology Co., which researches next-generation robotic optical tactile skin. On June 18, the Artificial Intelligence and Health Technology theme will showcase eight startups, such as Eieling Technology, which develops portable chronic liver disease diagnostics, and Point Fit Technology, which offers wearable health monitoring solutions. On June 19, the Sustainability and Climate Technology theme will include seven companies, like Albacastor Technology, which creates eco-friendly industrial ventilation systems, and Green Vigor, which develops energy recovery technologies.
Additional events include a seminar on June 17 moderated by Christopher Lai, Director for France, Spain & Portugal of HKTDC, featuring French entrepreneurs discussing business expansion between Europe and Hong Kong. On June 18, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation will host a global mixer, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University will present on AI innovation.
