HOPE Hydration Secures $20M in Series A Funding to Expand Access to Clean Water

HOPE Hydration, a tech-enabled company dedicated to providing free filtered water through its digitally connected HydroStations, has announced a $20 million Series A funding round led by Pentair plc, with participation from Burnt Island Ventures. This investment is set to propel the company's expansion into new markets, enhance manufacturing capabilities, spur product innovation, and forge strategic partnerships to amplify its global impact.

Founded by Jorge Richardson, Cristina Gnecco, and Dave Tigue, HOPE Hydration operates on the principle that access to clean water is a fundamental human right. The company's HydroStations, equipped with Everpure filtration technology from Pentair Water Solutions, offer chilled, high-quality drinking water in various public spaces, aiming to curb the reliance on single-use plastic bottles.

Jorge Richardson, CEO and Co-Founder, emphasized the growing demand for sustainable hydration solutions amidst increased travel and outdoor activities. The funding will enable HOPE to scale its infrastructure, designed to benefit health, exploration, and the planet.

Adrian Chiu of Pentair Water Solutions highlighted the alignment of this partnership with their mission to sustainably improve water access. Pentair's contribution of filtration technology and expertise is expected to accelerate HOPE's growth and environmental objectives.

HOPE's HydroStations feature IoT technology for real-time data on refills, plastic and CO2 savings, and water output monitoring. Additionally, the stations' 55” LED screens offer digital advertising opportunities, facilitating no-cost installations for venues. Since 2023, HOPE has facilitated over 2 million refills, with ambitions to reach 10 million by year's end, supported by partnerships with major brands and venues worldwide.
