ICR Appoints Edward Ruff to Lead Equity Capital Markets Division
ICR Capital's appointment of Edward Ruff as Head of Equity Capital Markets positions the firm to capitalize on the reopening IPO market and expand its advisory services for corporate transactions.
ICR, a strategic communications and advisory firm, has appointed Edward Ruff as Head of Equity Capital Markets at ICR Capital, its broker-dealer affiliate. Ruff will oversee the equity capital markets team that provides IPO, follow-on, and block advisory services to corporate, private equity, and venture capital clients.
The appointment comes at a critical time when the IPO and follow-on window has reopened, positioning ICR to advise private and public companies and their financial sponsors seeking to access capital markets. Ruff brings over 15 years of experience in equity capital markets and investment banking, having led more than 150 transactions that raised over $100 billion in capital throughout his career.
Tom Ryan, CEO, and Don Duffy, President of ICR stated that Ruff's extensive capital markets expertise and proven track record in executing complex transactions will benefit ICR clients. His experience advising management teams, boards, and private equity and venture capital firms on corporate transactions will support the growth of ICR's equity capital markets and convertible bond advisory services. Ruff joins ICR Capital with significant experience including more than a decade with Citigroup in ECM and investment banking roles, and most recently serving as Head of Equity Capital Markets at Cabrera Capital Markets.

Throughout his career, Ruff has led numerous IPOs, follow-on offerings, block trades, M&A financings, SPACs, PIPEs, and other capital markets transactions. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University, a master's degree in Accounting Science and a bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, and is Series 24, 7, 79 and 63 certified as well as a Certified Public Accountant.
