Intershop Spring 2026 Release Targets AI Adoption Challenges in B2B Commerce
Intershop Communications AG announced its Spring 2026 Release, introducing AI copilots and agents for B2B buyers and merchants, alongside a unified pricing model to simplify AI adoption and scaling.

Intershop Communications AG, a global provider of agentic B2B commerce solutions, today announced the Spring 2026 Release of the Intershop Commerce Platform. The release focuses on practical AI tools designed to ease adoption for B2B merchants, addressing cost-benefit concerns and offering scalable solutions for daily operations.
According to Markus Dranert, CEO of Intershop, the cost/benefit calculation for AI adoption has not always been straightforward for B2B merchants. The Spring 2026 Release aims to demonstrate AI's real impact across buyer and merchant journeys, with pre-integrated copilots and agents providing an easy entry point into agentic commerce.
The LLM-powered Copilot for Buyers now supports expanded aftersales scenarios, leveraging contextual data such as installed base information and technical product specifications. It can send service reminders, flag machines for maintenance, and recognize dirty or damaged spare parts through the new Visual Product Finder. Additionally, the release introduces ACP (Agentic Commerce Protocol) product feeds, making product catalogs accessible to LLM-based search environments like ChatGPT. The Product Content Agent provides generative engine optimizations (GEO) in product descriptions.
The Copilot for Merchants, previously in beta, is now generally available with a critical mass of agents and proactive workflows. New capabilities include an agent task overview for scheduling and monitoring tasks, with agents providing summaries and recommendations. The newest agent, the Competitive Intelligence Agent, enables teams to track market developments and competitor activity efficiently, supporting data-driven decision-making.
To further support adoption, Intershop introduced a unified pricing model for AI capabilities. Customers can choose credit-based subscriptions providing flexible access across all Intershop copilots and agents, rather than licensing individual components. Nils Breitmann, Senior Director of Artificial Intelligence at Intershop, emphasized that the pricing packages lower the barrier for merchants to test AI and maintain cost control.
This release underscores Intershop's commitment to practical AI that delivers measurable ROI. For more information or to request a demo, visit the release landing page. View the original release on NewMediaWire.
