IotaComm® Relocates Headquarters to Chapel Hill, Strengthening IoT Innovation Hub
IotaComm's move to Chapel Hill underscores its commitment to leveraging local talent and innovation ecosystems for nationwide IoT network expansion.

IotaComm, Inc., a leader in next-generation wireless communications and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters to 200 West Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This strategic move places the company in a prime location within the Research Triangle region, known for its vibrant innovation ecosystem and access to top-tier talent from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Terrence DeFranco, Chairman and CEO of IotaComm, emphasized the relocation as a pivotal step in the company's mission to develop a nationwide wireless carrier tailored for IoT applications. The new headquarters, situated in a Class A creative office space, is designed to foster collaboration and innovation, with immediate access to UNC's research and student communities. This location also supports IotaComm's expansion of its LoRaWAN® network and the commercialization of its Delphi360™ platform, aimed at digitizing building systems for enhanced efficiency and sustainability.
The move to Chapel Hill does not signify a departure from IotaComm's roots in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, where the company continues to invest in smart manufacturing initiatives and education partnerships. Instead, it represents an expansion of the company's footprint, enabling it to scale nationally while maintaining strong ties to its founding communities. The relocation is expected to accelerate IotaComm's growth in key sectors such as education, manufacturing, hospitality, and government, by providing scalable connectivity and actionable data to modernize operations.
Hastings Jones, Vice President at CBRE, highlighted the significance of IotaComm's choice of location, noting the advantages of 200 West Franklin Street for high-growth technology companies seeking to leverage local talent and thought leadership. This move not only enhances IotaComm's operational capabilities but also reinforces its commitment to sustainability, technology, and education, aligning with the values of the Chapel Hill community.
