LaFleur Minerals Reports Large-Scale Gold Discovery at Swanson Deposit, Extending Mineralization Beyond Resource Estimate
LaFleur Minerals announced drill results showing broad gold intercepts over 200 meters at its Swanson Gold Project, confirming a district-scale discovery that extends well below the current resource envelope, with implications for expanding production at its nearby Beacon Gold Mill.

LaFleur Minerals (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) has reported a large-scale gold discovery at its Swanson Gold Project in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Quebec, with drill results showing wide intervals of gold mineralization that extend significantly beyond the company's March 2025 mineral resource estimate (MRE). The results confirm broad, continuous zones of gold at vertical depths of approximately 300 to 450 metres, indicating the potential for a district-scale gold system.
The company announced assays from three drill holes targeting down-dip continuity over a 120-metre strike length. Hole SW-25-080 returned 1.18 grams per tonne gold over 255.04 metres, hole SW-25-081 intersected 1.65 g/t Au over 136.01 metres, and hole SW-25-079 yielded 2.29 g/t Au over 68.30 metres. These intercepts demonstrate that the Swanson mineralized system remains robust and laterally continuous beyond the existing resource envelope.
In March, LaFleur announced a 30% increase in indicated mineral resources from the 2024 MRE, establishing a new resource of 2.96 million tonnes at 1.69 g/t Au for 160,300 ounces of contained gold, plus an inferred resource of 1.08 million tonnes. The new drill results suggest further upside, as they extend mineralization well below the limits of the current MRE.
The company owns the nearby Beacon Gold Mill, located near Val d'Or, Quebec, and is preparing to resume operations later this quarter. LaFleur plans to process on-site stockpile and mineralized material from Swanson, with a target to scale throughput from 750 metric tons per day (TPD) to 1,250 TPD by 2027, and eventually reach 3,000 or 4,000 TPD. The expansion is supported by financing and offtake terms from Trafigura.
The Abitibi Greenstone Belt is a prolific gold-producing region with established infrastructure, and the Swanson and Beacon properties benefit from access to mining labor and resources in the Val d'Or area. The discovery underscores LaFleur's transition from explorer to near-term producer, with the potential to significantly increase gold output.
