Lime's Micromobility Growth in Atlanta Highlights Sustainable Urban Transport Shift
Lime's record-breaking ridership in Atlanta underscores the city's growing embrace of sustainable, shared transportation options, with significant investments in community initiatives and new vehicle models.

Lime's micromobility services in Atlanta have reached a milestone, with over 1 million trips recorded in the first half of 2025, marking a 45% increase from the previous year. June saw 205,348 trips alone, demonstrating the city's robust adoption of shared electric bikes and scooters. This growth reflects Atlanta's commitment to sustainable urban mobility and Lime's strategic investments in the community and innovative vehicle models.
Carol Antunez, Senior Manager of Government Relations at Lime, highlighted the integration of Lime's services into daily life in Atlanta, fueling further investments such as the launch of new Gen LimeBikes and Lime Gliders. These efforts are complemented by community-focused initiatives, including support for LGBTQIA+ voices through partnerships with Out Front Theatre and Schaf Shop during Pride Month, showcasing Lime's dedication to inclusivity and community engagement.
Atlanta's distinction as the first U.S. city to launch LimeBike and Lime Glider underscores its leadership in adopting inclusive and accessible micromobility solutions. Additionally, Lime's collaboration with the Atlanta Beltline Partnership to offer no-cost First Ride Academies aims to educate riders on safe and effective use of e-bikes, further promoting sustainable transportation habits.
Lime's achievement of a 66.8% reduction in company-wide carbon emissions intensity since 2019 aligns with its goal of net-zero emissions by 2030. This progress is part of Lime's broader strategy to combine global expertise with local needs, ensuring the delivery of reliable, sustainable transportation options that contribute to greener urban environments.
