Marine Veteran W.W. Mitchell Transforms Personal Struggle into Dark Fantasy Epic
W.W. Mitchell, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who overcame homelessness and personal challenges, is set to launch 'Cataclysm Kin,' a complex fantasy novel that marks the beginning of a seven-book saga exploring themes of divine conflict and survival.

Former U.S. Marine Corps veteran W.W. Mitchell will release his debut novel 'Cataclysm Kin' on July 15th, a dark fantasy epic that transforms personal adversity into a compelling narrative of celestial conflict and survival.
Mitchell's novel follows two celestial sisters, Edith and Bethany, who fled their war-torn realm centuries ago. One sister remains hidden among humans, while the other has transformed into a monstrous entity. As otherworldly creatures like the Halphobs and Kelxsiar emerge, the sisters confront a potential realm-shattering confrontation.
Mitchell's journey to publication is as remarkable as his story. During a challenging period of homelessness in Chicago, battling depression and alcoholism, he nearly abandoned his writing aspirations. Instead, writing became his lifeline, helping him rebuild his life and creative vision.
Now leading Trigonic Press, Mitchell is positioning 'Cataclysm Kin' as more than just a novel. The book represents the first installment of a seven-book series, with a limited series pilot already in early development. Additionally, his second novel, 'The Legend of Sky City,' is being considered for a feature film.
The novel promises a complex narrative blending mythology, psychological depth, and apocalyptic tension. Mitchell describes his work as an exploration of characters who are simultaneously larger than life and fundamentally human.
'Cataclysm Kin' will be available in multiple formats, offering readers a gateway into a potentially expansive multimedia storytelling universe that challenges traditional genre boundaries.
